Rafael Micro’s independently developed “RT5 dual-band multi-protocol IoT platform” leads the industry through official Bluetooth Mesh certification. Bluetooth mesh can connect more than 1,000 nodes across homes, offices and factories, improving large-area network performance with greater stability, security and global interoperability across brands. Built on Rafael Micro’s RF expertise and system experience, and fully alliance-certified, RT5 delivers a complete open mainstream IoT solution.
The RT5 platform is a complete IoT solution that runs connectivity protocols on mainstream MCUs. Rafael Micro provides Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.0/5.1/5.2, Zigbee 3.0 and dual-band 2.4GHz/Sub-GHz subsystems. Mainstream MCUs integrate tightly via SPI for efficient MAC, network and application-layer control. Compared with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Mesh uses flooding so messages propagate without AP routing, connect faster, and self-heal if a single node fails.
“We are pleased to offer a certified Bluetooth Mesh wireless subsystem to MCU/SoC makers and IoT solution providers on our strong Bluetooth® Low Energy foundation,” said Ted Sun, CEO of Rafael Micro. “Combining our dual-band RF and Bluetooth Mesh multi-protocol software with customers’ MCU cores delivers low-power, differentiated, cost-effective wireless IoT solutions.”
RT5 supports BLE5.x, Zigbee 3.0 and Thread on ultra-low-power Arm® Cortex®-M0/3/4 MCUs, expandable with the RT56x/RT569 dual-band subsystem (Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.1/5.2 and IEEE 802.15.4), coin-cell friendly low-power modes, and OTA updates.
